
According to the Muslim Consumers’ Rights Council, certain eateries refrain from selling beef since it is said to be in line with beliefs that are in opposition to those of Muslim customers.
Any establishment that does not serve beef meals could be forced to close, protesters threatened.
Muhammad Arif Al Khabir, the convener of the Council, told the Dhaka Tribune that beef is a representation of Muslim identity. He criticised Western nations for its hypocrisy in banning halal cuisine from their dining establishments. The event was held in the midst of Bangladesh’s political unrest and atrocities against minorities. Authorities in Bangladesh claim that after Prime Minister Shaikh Hasina’s government was overthrown in August, there have been up to 88 violent attacks against minorities, particularly Hindus.
The United Nation is silent on Hindu holocaust which ongoing in Bangladesh along with other world nations.
