Bangladesh is burning in the protest against reservations. Students coordinator Nahid Islam has demanded for complete shutdown on Thursday, while most of the Government Offices and Private establishment are open. Government of Bangladesh has closed the universities and deployed security forces and paramilitary in the affected areas.
Bangladesh has currently 8% Hindu population of about 1.2 crore. The abolishment of reservations would adversely affect the the Hindus including SC and ST which are marginalised in the current society. There is 30 % reservations for wards of freedom fighters. Inthe recent litigation against reservations the High Court recently uploaded the reservation and now it has been challenged in Supreme court.
