ADMK’s fourteen MLAs and one Congress MLA have joined the BJP. The BJP was joined in the presence of National President Natta, Union Minister Rajiv Chandrasekhar, President Annamalai, and the Tamil Nadu BJP.

The DMK has commenced talks with the Tamil Nadu allied parties ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. ADMK and the BJP have not yet made a decision regarding their partnership.

ADMK General Secretary EPS just made it clear that he will break off all links to the BJP and refuse to join an alliance with them. Amit Shah has asked the AIADMK into an alliance, and the BJP is open to it under this situation. Former MLAs for the Congress and ADMK, Thangarasu and B.S. Kandasamy (Aravakurichi), Gomathi Srinivasan (Valangaiman), R. Chinnaswamy (Singanallur), R. Duraisamy (Coimbatore), and MV Ratnam (Pollachi), were present at the Delhi BJP headquarters.

In the presence of party national president Natta, Union Minister Rajiv Chandrasekhar, and Tamil Nadu BJP president Annamalai, fifteen people—including Vasan (Vedachandur), Muthukrishnan (Kanniyakumari), Arul (Bhuvanagiri), Rajendran, Thangarasu (Andimadam), Gurunathan, and V.R.—joined the Delhi BJP head office.

The participation of fifteen former MLAs is a topic of discussion in political circles as the BJP is expressing interest in gaining additional seats in Tamil Nadu in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
