Chief of the Army Staff General Majoj Pande has alerted that the border near China border has become very sensitive, while the talk with the counter part of China is going on.
The recent statement came after Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has visited London. He met Prime Minister Rishi Sunak at 10 Downing Street. He said that he had a warm meeting with PM and discussed issues pertaining to defence, economic cooperation and “could work together for strengthening a peaceful and stable global rules-based order”.

Also in December 2023, China dismantled the memorial of Major Shaitan Singh near Pangong Tso lake in Leh. Major Shaitan Singh fought at Rezang La in the war between India and China at 1962. He and his men of 126 strength fought till last bullet when China crossed the Indian LAC border.
