The Postal Department will host a worldwide letter-writing competition via the Universal Postal System. Students in grades 9 through 15 are eligible to take part. The Universal Postal Union has been providing services to people for more than eight generations, and it is 150 years old. Compose a letter outlining the kind of world you want to leave for future generations. The letter must not exceed 800 words. English, Tamil, or any other accepted language can be used to write letters.
Winners of the circles will receive a certificate and prizes of Rs. 25,000, Rs. 10,000, and Rs. 5,000, respectively. The first three prize winners at the national level of competition will get, in that order, Rs. 50,000, Rs. 25,000, and Rs. 10,000.
The top letters are chosen at the national level and invited to compete internationally.
The finest letters, along with an application, a photo, the applicant’s date of birth, a copy of their Aadhaar card, or any other documentation proving their date of birth from the school, should be given to the Superintendent of Posts (SPO), – Erode Kottam, Erode – 638001 by February 5th. A letter competition will take place at the school level by the 31st. The department will make an announcement later on the competition’s location and date.
