Celine Dion first publicly shared that she had been diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder

Dion’s sister Claudette Dion said the Grammy winner “doesn’t have control of her muscles.”

In December 2022, the performer announced her diagnosis of stiff-person syndrome.

She was recently able to spend quality time with her 22-year-old son René-Charles and 13-year-old twins Nelson and Eddy, who she shared late husband René Angélil.

In May, she called off her Courage world tour. A release on the superstar’s website said stiff-person syndrome “prevents her from performing.”
